About the Business
Sherborne Turf was established in 1972 and what started as a family business supplying the local area with turf, has grown steadily to encompass all aspects of gardening, while maintaining its traditional values. As the name suggests, our core business is turf, and we currently have around 150 acres of quality farmland dedicated to the production of our Trent Turf. We are members of the Turfgrass Growers Association (TGA) and as such our grass is grown to high trade standards. The seed mix is a blend of perennial ryegrass, chewings fescue, slender creeping red fescue, strong creeping red fescue, and smooth stalked meadow grass, and has been developed over the years to produce a good quality grass that is hard wearing and suitable for domestic lawns. As part of our commitment to the environment, turf is grown without the help of netting that can pose a trip hazard and be costly to remove.
